Solent Middle School was a co-educational comprehensive school for children between the ages of ten and thirteen. It was opened in 1972 and closed in July 2011.

A message from the head:

This has been a very challenging final year.  Yet despite all the obstacles we have had to overcome, we have arrived on the final day having maintained outstanding academic results and successfully run all our normal extra curricular activities – French trip still to come!  The professionalism of the staff and positive attitude of the pupils has been second to none.  Well done everybody.

We would like to thank all those who have been connected with the school since 1972.  We have been very proud to have been associated with such a successful school and wish everybody all the best for the future
